Brand strategy + identity

As we age, we become accustomed to the idea that we won’t be here forever.
But nonetheless, news of a serious or terminal illness can be overwhelming.

Harlington Hospice believes that even when confronted by the reality of death, people can still live each of their days to the fullest.

They take great care to get to know everyone who comes to them; discover what makes them tick, what’s important to them in their world. They encourage people to set their own goals for how to live well, from early in their illness until their last moments. And Harlington supports those closest to them throughout the whole experience, and into bereavement.

We helped Harlington Hospice through a merger with Michael Sobell Hospice.
We developed a singular vision, purpose and values, alongside a proposition ‘Individual Matters’.

Strategically ‘Individual Matters’ placed people at the heart of decision making. It created an inclusive organisation, catering to the needs of a diverse community. It set a standard for attention to detail across all strands of care. It highlighted the importance of everyone.

Creatively we expressed the proposition through the idea of shaping care around the individual. The inspired a direction of shape and juxtaposition. Giving the identity artful restraint and sensitivity. And when it needed to fundraise the ability to raise it’s voice with clarity and purpose.

A custom headline typeface and simple geometric illustration, helped navigate intensely emotional circumstances with a gentle character and quiet confidence.
