Clean water is what keeps us all healthy. It should be a normal part of daily life for everyone, everywhere – but it isn’t.

1.5 billion people don’t have a decent toilet of their own
Dignity. Health. Equality. It all starts with a decent toilet.

2 billion lack soap and/or water to wash their hands
Healthy hygiene habits can change – and even save – lives.

WaterAid are working in some of the toughest places in the world. They have already reached millions of people with these three essentials, enabling entire communities to stay healthy, to unlock their potential, break free from poverty and change their lives for good. And while installing taps and toilets is essential to their work, they do so much more. From advocacy to engineering, water is just the beginning!

Starting with the proposition ‘It all starts with water’, Texture worked across the federated organisation covering diverse cultures and countries, to create a highly accessible brand identity that could unite its organisation and express the global ambitions set out in its newly updated strategy.

Together with WaterAid, we developed a people-centred brand that puts human stories first, using powerful hero imagery and organic, water-inspired graphic shapes to amplify WaterAid’s voice and create standout impact worldwide.

The detail, discipline and considerations that went into delivering this globally required support from across the globe, but aligning the brand behind the strategy ensures WaterAid is in the best position possible to deliver the change that’s needed for millions more people.
